Hi , I read one DLMS smart meter , i have Extended Gurux Serial Port https://github.com/Gurux/gurux.serial.android source code, I Read one meter successfully , after read second meters command not fires , serial port not respond, I Disd Open Close Port , Refresh , but not works,

I need to unplug the cable for mobile and insert again to read another meter.

is there a Python Class to read the meter directly over UART (Not over Serial)?
Similar to the class serial, but direct for UART.

Is it possible to get just some parameters, e.g Voltage and current from a smart meter without using getAssociationView, I notice that this function gets some values, puts them in a text file and then reads the values required by user.
Is it always necessary to write the values into a text file and then read them.
Is there a function to read some values but not from that text file but get those values directly from the function.

I'm having an issue with gurux serial for Android. The getPorts method is not returning any port when I disconnect and connect an usb serial cable on the phone.

The first time I connect the cable it works fine, the problem only happens after disconnect and connect the cable again.

To make it work again I need to close and open the demo app.

Hi Mikko, please I'm trying to read out EMH LZQJ-XC Meter using GXserial android (Optical head).
It's working on 300 baud rate, but very slow (more then 6 min).
I don't know how, when and where i can change baud rate to 4800.
Please could you give me some example of code for changing baud rate ?

I try to read a meter MT880 with Arduino example code ,
but the sample program not working.

I think the issue is on init :

Assuming the default password is password

Client.init(true, 1, 172, DLMS_AUTHENTICATION_LOW, "password", DLMS_INTERFACE_TYPE_HDLC);

Using the Director to test, it works correctly by this entry :
COM3:9600:8None1 -c 1 -s 172 -a Low -P password

Is correct to use the 172 also in Arduino code ?

I noticed that the only way to connect to it is using the "Pre-established system title" option, when checking the Command line parameters, i noticed that this value uses the "-M" parameter, which doesn't exist when using the Python application, returning the error "Authentication failure."
