I am a student in Computer Engineering and working in my Graduation project, I am trying to interface Arduino with Power meter to read the power data via RS485.

I have MAX485 Module to interface between Arduino and MT173.
I sent the command /?!CRLF from the Arduino to Power meter,

No response from the power meter,

I believe the RS485 need to be enabled first, but no clue

Anyone can help to configure MT173 RS485 communication?

I am using VS 2012 to build the GXDLMSDirector source code. Build fails with signtool.exe issues. Has anybody had similar problems? Here are the 3 errors reported by VS:

If I perfom two separate communication on the same meter (Landis ZMD450) and perform read Clock object read in both communication.
I get the information about clock, but after that, if I change something in one communication for example: set Daylight Savings and go to second communication and perform read clock object, it doesn't show any changes.

I am trying to write an attribute, but whatever the value I enter in the field, DLMSDirector sends value 0 to my device.

See below log, where I wanted to write value of 900 to my Demand Register period attribute (8). I typed 900 in the GUI filed, then press enter (I hear the Windows bell sound).

I then click on the Write icon, and see the data being sent to my meter but value is 0 instead of 900.

On thing important is that my meter does not implement attribute 2 of Association LN object, so I created objects manually in the xml config file :

I have 2 landis+gyr e650 devices.
My pc is connected to one landis+gyr e650 through CU-E22 using ethernet.
The first landis gyr is connected with serial interface to the second - CU-E22 -> CU-P42 - which are configured as master -> slave.
I can use DLMSDirector to connect to one of the devices - the master.
I tried setting Logical Server addres to 1, but I couldn't connect to the second device.
What's the procedure for accessing second - slave device using dlms director ?
Any hints would be appreciated.

Hello,

I see that DLMSDirector sends an empty UDP frame about 40 seconds after last communication.
My meter does not react on this and DLMSDirector closes association and displays message "cannot communicate with device in given time".

This seems to be kind of a keepalive mechanism, but I could not find it in the DLMS spec.
Is this something Gurux proprietary ? Or is there a way to disable this behaviour ?

we were reading data from L+G E650 while we stopped readout without closing connection and after that we are not able to establish new connection (using serial port). After trying to establish connection we get System.OutOfMemoryException . Is there anything we can do in this matter? Basically SNRM request is sent, next UA reply and next after request a very strange frame is transmitted having a lot of "01 0D". The log is as follows:

I am using version 8.0.1704.1901 and could not find how to interact with a meter implementing COSEM UDP transport, with WRAPPER layer.

Here is my settings :
- Start protocol : DLMS
- Media : net
- Hostname : xxx
- Host port : xxx
- protocol : UDP
- use serial port through ethernet : false

With this setting, DLMSDirector sends a UDP encapsulated SRNM frame to the specified IP address / port..
I would expect more a WRAPPER 8 bytes header followed by AARQ...
