An agent makes the actual device reading and there might be multiple agents if the meters are located in places that are not publicly accessible or the amount of the meters is huge.

  Agent name.
• Description
  Agent description.
• Trace level
  If the trace level is Verbose agent connections and disconnections are saved to the agent log.
• Version
  Agent version.
• Threads
  Amount of the threads that read the meters.
• Task wait time
  How often agent asks for new tasks from the Gurux.DLMS.AMI, if the server has not been notified from the new tasks.
• Alive time.
  How often agent reports that it's alive,
• Trace level
  Trace level can be used to save agent information. Trace level is usually not needed, but it's handy when there are problems with the agent. Options are:

  • Off: Agent actions or traces are not saved to the agent log.
  • Info: Agent information actions are saved to agent actions.

Each agent belongs to one or more agent groups. Only users who are part of the agent group can access the agent and its settings. This makes using the program safer.
