I have to create android app which will read DLMS based meter data. Pls suggest me from where i can start. Im new in dlms protocol, first i have to prepare the communication between meter and mobile device. I'm not able to create the channel between meter and mobile through optical strobe
I'm trying to make sense of the DLMS User Association, my usual area is web development, but in this case, I need to implement a protocol of this type.
I am reading the blue book and also the green one, although it is difficult for me to think about how to create a frame to send through the serial port, I do not know if all the protocol requires an object-oriented model (blue book) or if only it is possible to know HOW TO CREATE a frame to send all the queries to the device, that is, like a script...
First i want to thank you for your work on Gurux library.
It is not an easy task to make it work with all kind of meter.
And it helps a lot of people.
I am now able to read my meter register as I want.
But when i finished reading the value, a disconnect request is sent and the meter do not respond and keep the connection alive.
There is Some improvement required in GDLMSdirector in Password change
mechanism.
Association LN Object has two options for SECRET change :
1. LLS secret is changed by writing attribute 7
2. HLS secret is changed by method 2
GDLMSDirector provided only one feature at a single time i.e If current
association is HLS association it uses Method 2 and if Current Association is
LLS then it Writes Attribute 7 when Button "Update" is used.
I have two SL7000 meters. The first one is a new model and the second one is an old model.
Right now, I don't have access to the new model but I got the messages logs.

i want to read from one meter from dlms port (RS485) i config default setting in gurux and send connect request but in HDLC layer one problem occured . please view Log from Gurux tool . it recive UA frame but say "Failed to receive reply" and timeout

I am using you C++ implementation to read some DLMS meters I have around. I can read an OBIS code with FindByLn successfully, but not without it. Here a snippet of the code I am using for the both cases:
I've started using iskra meters and DLMSDirector but the problem is 1) dlmsdirector do not connect troght the ir port and second even meterview that cost me some money do not have this meter in the compatibility list, i have noticed that is possible to import the models like a sort of "driver" in meterview, anyone can help me to have this bad boy work with both softwares ?
i'm a software engineer specialized in front-end and middleware, so i know absolutely nothing (except from what google taught me) about smart meters, electrical metering, etc.
We have a client that needs to read dat files. As far as i know, these DAT files are converted to Excel files by a software called "Notus XLS" from Actaris. We can't open the files directly with excel. they must be converted.
for now, we have only the information in the beggining of the file, that we can read using a HEX editor:
