Need help finding out the correct dlms settings for this meter

Forums
General discussion

Hello.

I was trying to find out the correct setting for this below Honeywell gprs gas
meter using HDLC address resolver in GXDLMSDirector.

Meter image: https://ibb.co.com/35HSkMkj

But I failed to do so. When I try to scan the client and server addresses using optical port, meter doesn't reply with any response. Also, in the address resolver settings if I change the baud rate, stop byte etc., they don't change.

segmented frame

There is a doubt in segmented frame so you hopefully give response as i describe in below points.
1. Is there any relation between block response/request and segmented frame.

2. If meter buffer size is 2048 then only segmented frame possible ??? my meter buffer size is 512 so in this case how can be possible the segmented frame

Addressing the smart meter in the transmission medium

Forums
General discussion

Good afternoon, community!
Please tell me how can I address a smart meter in a transmission medium if they all have physical and logical addresses 1 and 16?
How can I access the smart meter by its MAC address, which consists of the last 9 digits of the smart meter's factory number?

Where to start. DLMS - Meter Type E with HDLC

Forums
General discussion

Good day.

I'm very new to DLMS and would like some guidance on what documentation to start with.
From the reading I have done so far I can see that The Green book and ISO 13239 is good start. But are there other documentation out there that you would say is a must.

My goal is to implement a very simple program on a PIC16 to read HEXING meters via the optical probe.
From testing (GXDLMSDirector) I can see that the meters require authentication before it gives you access to the registers I'm looking for. (1.0.1.8.0.255 and 1.0.2.8.0.255)

L & T ER300P communication issue

Forums
General discussion

I am attempting to establish communication between the L&T ER300P Indian meter and the GURUx software. The communication works seamlessly using the optical cable. However, when I switch to the RJ11 port, utilizing an RJ11-to-DB9 converter, I am unable to establish communication.

I would appreciate any guidance or assistance in resolving this issue.

Cloud based implementation of smart meter reading server

Forums
General discussion

I have a requirement to build a HeadEnd Server to process meter readings from several meters. Our consideration is to build this as a cloud based solution. I have a of question regarding this as it is not my primary domain. How can we configure these meters in order to connect to a server hosted over the cloud through a TCP/IP connection. I have achieved this in the past for other IOT devices and would also like to implement this for smart meters?

Hi,

We are getting this data-(energy values mapped to OBIS code) from Secure make Premier 300 DLMS Meter in the cloud. Need guidance to convert these values to arrive at the cumulative energy reading in KWH. Have checked the physical meter reading today - Cumulative Active Energy - 88.92KWH
