Where to start. DLMS - Meter Type E with HDLC

Good day.

I'm very new to DLMS and would like some guidance on what documentation to start with.
From the reading I have done so far I can see that The Green book and ISO 13239 is good start. But are there other documentation out there that you would say is a must.

My goal is to implement a very simple program on a PIC16 to read HEXING meters via the optical probe.
From testing (GXDLMSDirector) I can see that the meters require authentication before it gives you access to the registers I'm looking for. (1.0.1.8.0.255 and 1.0.2.8.0.255)

Kind regards

Hi, Sorry to say, but you…

Hi,

Sorry to say, but you can't implement it with PIC16. There is not enough memory available. You need at least 100 KB of program memory size.

You find standards that you need to read from here:
