DLMSDirector

Hi,
This is my first approach to DLMS world. I have two itron SL7000 761 I'm able to read using ACE pilot proprietary software via serial modem.
on same pc using same modem I'm unable to get a connection with GXDLMSDirector as I always get error "connection failed: no carrier (when telephone call was being established). +CEER: Normal call clearing".
The only settings I'm not sure is the serial port flow control that should be XON/XOFF and I don't know where to check, but since it get the +CEER I suppose that's ok.

I tried to use virtual serial port emulator to check more messages but it fail the connection.

is there a way to see detailed log of serial communication?

Thank you

Hi, No carrier means that…

Hi,

No carrier means that your modem is not connected to the telephone network. I believe that ACE pilot is sending extra initialize commands before connecting to the meter.

Try to check the "Verbose Mode". Then you can see extra logging when you select "View", "Log" and "View Log".

ATQ0
ATDT xxxxxxxxx (phone number)
replay with "DIALING"

this is the GXDLMSDirecotr logs. https://pastebin.com/BD3ZNcN0

Hi, I believe the reason is…

Hi,

I believe the reason is that ACE Pilot uses ATDT (tone dialing) and GXDLMSDirector uses ATD (default dialing method) and your modem can't handle that.

The fastest way to test this is if you download the terminal code and change ATD to ATDT. Then you need to build GXDLSMDirector using this terminal.

It's possible to add selection to ATD/ATDT, but I'm hoping that you can test this first because implementing is easy, but testing will take time.

BR,
Mikko
