DLMSDirector

Hi Mikko,

We are building an automatic testing software for our meters that will run various testing scripts on the production line. Is there a way in which we could integrate the functionalities of the DLMS director into one of our testing scripts and connect to our meters over DLMS using serial port? We need to read the OBIS code values and run scripts on the meter. We are not sure about the platform for running the automatic testing software yet. It could be Linux as well as Windows.

Hi,

Hi,

Don't use custom scripts, the macro editor will do the same thing and it's much more convenient to use.

You can also run macros from the command line. Only Windows is supported at the moment.

Thanks for insight Mikko. Is

Thanks for insight Mikko. Is there a way in which we could call these macros from our custom testing suite and get the result as there will be other tests other than DLMS too that we want to run for our meters? We want our custom testing suite to perform all tests and create a unified report for the results of all tests performed on each of our meters. Our custom testing suite will be written in python but we also have the flexibility to write it in any other language if that suits this use-case.

Hi,

Hi,

The idea is that you can record macros with GXDLMSDirector and then use them from the command line app. Python is also included. I'm designing features at the moment. I can't say the exact release day yet.

Mikko
