If a meter uses IEC62056-21 Mode E as starting protocol, after sending <ACK> '2' 'Z' '2' <CR> <LF> the meter accepts HDLC commands. But what if I want to return to before Mode E? If you want to return from Mode C you can send a break (<SOH> 'B' '0' <ETX> <BCC>), but what is the Mode E equivalent?

I am doing a project for MSc in which, one part is to communicate a Siemens SCADA, which uses protocol PROFINET/MODBUS with two smart meters Landis&Gyr which use DLMS protocol. I know there are gateways to convert the protocols, but I am interested into making this with software. Can I do it with Gurux?
Hence, I want the SCADA being able to read the measurements autonomously (from smart meters) and take decisions. The connection at the moment is implemented over a lan with switch so all the devices are connected on the switch.

I am new to DLMS. I have tested lots of obis codes and functionality of DLMS with Arduino Mega, and its work fine.

My Meter supports IS 15959. According to IS15959 documentations it has over voltage and under voltage event generation capability with OBIS : "0.0.96.11.0.255", which will return event ID.

I have generated low voltage condition (Volt: 100V), and tried about 30 min or more, but when I read "0.0.96.11.0.255". it returns 0 event ID in return.

I am running into a byte buffer that gets bigger than 0x7FFF bytes, while reading the Object List of a meter. From the definition of the function bb_isAttached(), the part return (arr->capacity & 0x8000) == 0x8000, I asume that you use the highest bit to determine if a buffer is attached or not. This is causing problems for me, since the buffer needs to grow.
I see two ways forward: use 32 bit values or adding a separate bool attach_flag to bytebuffer.

I'm working on a smart metering project. I want to be able to read one specific meter from a set of meters, all of this meters are conected by RS-485 to a unique RS-485 bus communication. I'm able to connect to one meter alone by RS-485 and read it, but I don't know how identify a specific meter from a set of them all of them connected to a unique RS-485 bus and read it. What process or what object can I use for this purpose?? The net is something like the picture. Thanks.

I finally succeeded in reading the Object List of a Landis Gyr E650 using the Arduino GuruxDLMS.c library. Next I was able to read the clock and registers, like 1.8.1 and 32.7.0, by explicitly setting the SN found in the object list.

I am using the Arduino Client C example on a Landis Gyr E650, so SN. I successfully connected to the meter using IEC62056-21 Mode E on the public client (0x10) without authetication. However I cannot read the association view. What am I doing wrong?
