Problems initiating connection to Arduino sever from GXDLMSDirector

Forums
Gurux.DLMS

Hi All.

I've been attempting to use the Arduino server example (from https://github.com/Gurux/GuruxDLMS.c/tree/master/Arduino_IDE) but have been having issues getting it working.

My DLMS and Gurux knowledge is not huge, so at this stage i'm not too sure if it's a problem with the Arduino server, or with my GXDLMSDirector setup. That said, I have used GXDLMSDirector to successfully connect to real meters in the past.

Compact Array data in DLMS.C

Forums
Gurux.DLMS

Hi,

I was wondering how to build a compact array object with the C libraries.
The object it is a DLMS_OBJECT_TYPE_DATA and the value it is a compact array composed of 7 others DLMS_OBJECT_TYPE_DATA values. I think I haven't seen any example about the compact array.

Also, maybe it is enough to initialize it as an array, and then change the type to compact array, but I'm not sure about this.

This is the code now:

gxData OscWave;
gxTarget CAPTURE_OBJECT[8] = { 0 };

Problems with readRowsByRange in DLMS python library

Forums
Gurux.DLMS

Hello,

I am facing 2 problems using readRowsByRange in the DLMS python library.
Being a newbie in that kind of stuff, I reused Client.Example and modified it to reach what I wanted. I need to retrieve historical data from one or several selected registers.

1. First problem is when I make my call to readRowsByRange (I have not modified it in any way), I am getting the data I want, only each value is labeled with a datetime corresponding to the start value (defined in GXDLMSReader.py).

Is it possible to use DLMS library as an interface for reading data locally?

Forums
Gurux.DLMS

One of the subsystem of the meter I develop exchanges data based on the OBIS codes. Since the meter already uses the DLMS library to communicate via various means (optic port, radio frequency, power line), I was curious if it is possible to interrogate the data model from within the meter, using the library as an API rather than having a 'server-client' relationship.

Redefinition of uint32_t, int32_t.

Forums
Gurux.DLMS

gxint.h makes a problem under *inux system redefining uint32_t, int32_t types to 8-byte types (... long). It works under Windows because it is set as #define. In *inux the types are set through typedef, and #ifndef uint32_t does not work.

I simply comment all definitions in gxint.h, and it works well everywhere.

PS For portable code a good way is to define own types:
typedef uint32_t u4_t
typedef int32_ t s4_t
