Hello, I have a meter which is of L&T make model no EM101+ and want to read the meter using RJ9 port but don't know the security level of the same I tried to read it with the optical port and have the SNRM request 7E A0 07 03 41 93 5A 64 7E, Could you help me to get to know the security level by SNRM.
There are several different security levels. You can try to connect without security first. You need to know the password if you want to connect using Low or High authentication.
You can try with GXDLMSDirector first. Select "Indian Standard" as a manufacturer and give it a try.
There are three reasons for this.
#1. Your cables are not working. Check them.
#2. Serial port settings are not correct. Check the baud rate.
#3. Your server or client address is wrong. Check them from the meter documentation.
Because your meter is supporting Indian Standard 15959 I believe that this is not the reason.
#4 If you are using optical port try to change interface type from HDLC to HdlcWithModeE. In my mind, your meter is not support Mode E, but there might be different versions from the meter.
