I am having an issue. When I put the COM port in source setting the program still cant read the data instead of just show same as not changing the COM port.
Hello, please, I have a meter at my disposal that I want to connect to via the serial port, but I don't know the server address. Is there a way for me to automatically detect the server address of the meter, or is there another way I can connect to the meter without the server address?
Hi all,
I have a question.
I am studying how to sync clock on a meter and I stumbled upon this definition:
"The Deviation and the Clock Status may be defined or may be left undefined:"
Case A:deviaition not specified, clock status not specified
CAse B: deviation not specified, clock status with DST set to 80 or 00
CAse C: deviation is set to deviation from local time to UTC, clock status with DST bit 00.
My question are:
1.When we want to sync meter date, meter has to support all 3 methods?
I'm running a research project where we want to collect some readings from a smart meter that produces a public-key signature. We don't need to actually use the meter in any real deployment - it's purely a proof-of-concept experiment for a research project in cryptography. All we need to do is hook it up in a lab, and grab some readings from it on a computer.
