Connect EDMI Meter

Hi Kurumi,
I would like to connect EDMI Meter Mk7Mi and MK10M, but i got confused, where should i put Serial number of the meter (Sample : 3900007474) in properties of GSDLMSDirector, Please Your guidence, Thanks..

HI Kurumi,
for edmi meter above, where can i get value for Logical Server, client address and Physical Server, <strong>Im still can't connect to both meter</strong>.

Btw, im using rj45 to rs232 for connect meter to my PC, Please your guidence..

Hi,

The meter reply data is not correct and I'll remove it because it makes reading harder. Are you using RS-232 or optical probe?

Make sure that there is a DLMS label on the meter.

If you are using RS-232, you need to check your serial port settings. I was connect using optical probe with settings:

Interface: HdlcWithModeE
Client address: 10
Authentication None:
Logical Server: 1
Physical Server: 23

Meter is Mk7Mi. Manufacturing year is 2019.

Hi Miko,
I'm using rs232, and i have check the port serial, baud rate :9600 ,

can i use this parameter for rs232,and HDLC interface ??

Hi Kurumi, i have set up my baud rate 9600, then i got this :

22:21:12 Send SNRM request.
TX: 7E A0 08 02 47 21 93 91 02 7E
22:21:17 Data send failed. Try to resend 1/3
22:21:22 Data send failed. Try to resend 2/3
22:21:28 Failed to receive reply from the device in given time.
22:21:28 Send Disconnect request.
TX: 7E A0 08 02 47 21 53 9D C4 7E
22:21:33 Data send failed. Try to resend 1/3
22:21:38 Data send failed. Try to resend 2/3
22:21:44 Failed to receive reply from the device in given time.

The Meter doesnt reply anything, am I wrong??, I have attached my baud rate setting,,

I Tried to connect again, then i got the same result (data is not correct like you said before) , such as the first time...

Hi,

Your meter settings look the same as mine. Baud rate might be something else than the 9600. I have already asked, but make sure that there is a DLMS logo on the meter. There might be different versions from the meter, even the model is the same.

Hi Bang Yud,

I'm sorry for the slow reply. I wasn't able to find RJ45 to DB9 cables anywhere and the new cables are ordered. I'll let you know as soon as the new cable is in the office. I just checked it and it should be here latest on Tuesday.

I'll let you know as soon I have more info.
