facing some issues with reading m-bus meters through dlms

Hi Mikko,
We are facing some issues with reading m-bus meters through dlms using m bus client object.
Our requirement is to connect the Hydrus m bus water meter to Iskra AM550 mode, (4 mbus meters can be connected and for each m- bus meter 8 registers can be configured).
The problem we are facing is adding the registers (M bus DIF/VIF. The capture definition object is showing some extra fields to be filled with Data, and Type other than value information and data information field in the GuruX Mbus capture definition screen.
The following are the water meter objects we try to add
DIF VIF
0C 13
0B 3B
02 5A
When we try to add these objects its showing the below error. Please clarify how we can add these objects. What is the Data and type filed in the object window? Kindly help us, to add these objects using gurux

Can you add the hex trace from the add? Just the transaction is needed. Don't add all the rows what you have in the log.

Thank you for your quick response. The problem we are facing is adding new DIF/VIF code through the Gurux window.
Steps we followed to add new capture definition
1. Selected MBus Client - 0.1.24.1.0.255
2. selected Send button from the salve selection, Popup window appeared to add VIF, DIF, Data and Type.
3. We don't know what information has to be updated in the field of "data" and "Type".

for example, we tried to add the below code

VIF : 20 13
DIF : 8C
Data : ? (we don't know what to enter in this field )
Type : ? (we don't know what to enter in this field )

Hi Sheryl,

Update GXDLMSDirector for the latest version.
The Data and Type should be on the water meter documentation. Values can be anything and it depends on what kind of data you want to send for the water meter.

I tried to add a new capture definition below
VIF – 3B
DIF – 0B
Data – 4
Type – float32
it shows, it has been accomplished, however, it is not shown in the capture definition area

note: this meter has 8 register definition capability and at present 4 registers are defined as default
Also, How we can see the properties of the definition and delete the VIF/DIF?

Hi,

The meter accepts your data. Can you see it this information was sent to Hydrus water meter?
Since we don't have your system, I can't verify this and have to make assumptions and try to guess what is the problem.

Your MBus port reference looks odd. Verify that your water meter is connected to the Iskra meter and it's working. It's quite common that there are problems with the connection between the meters.

We have a requirement to add new DIF/VIF codes in the capture definition attribute (attribute 3) of the M bus client object of an Iskra Meter.
The capture definition attribute(3) of the meter is showing Read/Write access rights, but we couldn’t find any write/edit option available in the gurux dlms director to perform this activity.

Please confirm if is there any way to write M bus capture definition attribute using gurux DLMS director.
