Hi,

IEC 62056-31 defines the physical connection. Do you know if your meter supports IEC 62056-21 or DLMS? If there is DLMS label on the cover of your meter you can read it with DLMS.

my meter support only 62056-31 with DLMS or Without support both
and Local bus data exchange – Hardware support only Bus or Magnetic plug

Hi,

If your meter supports DLMS you can read it with Gurux open source libraries.
IEC 62056-31 or IEC 62056-3-1:2013 nowadays, defines only the communication bus and its settings.

You need to connect your meter to the PC and ask what client and server address you need to use from the meter manufacturer. Each meter has its own server address so meters can be connected to the same bus.

Hi,

You need the converter for the twisted pair. I don't know what meter you are using, but e.g. Moxa has products to suit your needs.
