Im trying to read the Itron SL7000 meter by using setting of authentication to Engineer 1 but when I try to connect with it for the first time, the disconnect mode error appear. How do I resolve this? Is it because of wrong password or something else? The other type authentication works well when connecting into it but for authentication Engineer 1 to 3 it gave the same disconnect mode error.

Hi,
Itron SL7000 is a little bit special case. It was originally manufactured by Actaris.
Download GXDLMSDirector and then select "Actaris Electricity" as a manufacturer.
Then select the "Frame" tab and change "Server address size" to 4.
Now you should be able to connect for the meter.
You can read everything else, but there are some profile genric objects that use specific structures and you need the documentation to solve what those objects contain.
