Currently, I am working on communication with the A1800 meter, at this moment I can connect with a low authentication and enable the DLMS /COSEM protocol in the respective meter using other software (Metercat). The problem appears when I try to interrogate a specific day or another interval of dates related to the generic profile, but the only result I have received is the following: "Access error: the device informs read-write denied.

Reading Profile generic (Elster A1800)

Hi,
Can you read all the data (Select "All" checkBox) from the Profile Generic without exception?

One problem might be date and time. Some meters expects that example millisecond is set to Zero and some expect that it's Ignored. If that is not done, meter return exception.

Can you read clock time and send it to me by email.

BR,

Mikko

On the other hand, I was able to prevent the error by changing the access right from "Buffer" to "AuthenticateRead" but the record is empty even when the result is "Ready", (by the way, the "Entries" tag is always set to 415 and this account is incremented every 15 minutes, I guess the program is reading the generic profile of all available times in the meter)

A1800 Clock Interrogation

Hi,

Select "Advanced" tab from device settings. Check "Use UTC time zone, not standard".
Try to read 0.0.98.1.0.255 again. If it still fails, post the log.

Mikko

Error with "Reading" options.

Well… I’m pleased to share the good news, when I made this change the profile generic 1 was successfully read, (only with the option “ALL” in the Reading section), Below I will share a piece of the entire reading because are many values in hex.….
(It is possible to say that analyzing other meters, I concluded that the object COSEM belonging to generic profile 1 is “1.0.99.1.0.255” and for that reason, the tests continued with this object)

The process goes on until to end successfully. However, appears another problem that is that when I wish to read a specific day and after setting this option in the "Reading" section, the meter responds with another thing, as we can see below, the program sends the next frame but with the response of meter, the “Buffer” in the “Access rights” Section is changed to “No access”. and the same occurs with the other options except "All".

Error with "Reading" options.

Hi,

Can you get any data if you select "Read last" days and change zero to example 10?

Hi, I've been quite busy. Well, when I try to download data about 3, 4 or 10 days ago the answer is the next:

Buffer Access Error

Hi,

Data is correct. Can you check this:
1. Select Read.Set start index to 1 and count to 3. You should receive 3 rows.
2. Select "Read From" and set start and end time to last week. End time must be something else than current date.

BR,
Mikko
