I´m starting with DLMSDirector and the smart meter ZIV 5CTM. I have been changing the configuration serveral times, but i could´t stablish connection with the meter. Reading other topics I realice that the smart meter doesn´t have the dlms identification in the meter. ¿Does this mean that is not compilant with dlms standart? I ask the manufacturer, and they said that it should work.
¿Any ideas?

We are Readingin some ZIV meters, but we are using TCP/IP connection and are are using serial port. Am I right? Your settings are wrong. Try to change client id to 10.
We are trying to read the meter trought a IEC 62056-21 optical probe. We change the configuration as suggested but we still receive the same answer....
Thanks for your quick answer.
I contacted with the manufacturer and in theory, the meter uses DLMS over HDLC and the port configuration is 9600-8-N-1. Gurux supports this specification ,right?. When you say that you are connecting througt TCP/IP you mean that you are using a RS232/Ethernet gatway? I will test it using one i have at home.
I have been playing changing the parameters as you recomenden but nothing, and I still don´t receive the firt sign of life.
This device as I said previosly don´t have the DLMS label instead has the PRIME (DLMS over PLC).
Yes, we are supporting that. We are reading other meter from ZIV where is TCP/IP interface.
Try first with these settings:
Client address: 1
Server address: 1
If that fails, can you ask what client and server address manufacturer is using for that meter.
We can solve them, but it's faster to ask from the manufacturer.

Hi,
As I told we are reading Ziv meters throught TCP/IP, but try to
change starting protocol to IEC from DLMS.
Serial port settings are always little problematic,
but after they are correct you should be able to read your meter.

May be this unit have a different configuration?
Thanks a lot

We have the same problem as
We have the same problem as Pelmar with ZIV meters through serial coms.
Any update?

Hi,
What serial port settings you are using? Are you using optical head or serial port connection?
