Hi
while configuring or creating template of device in GXDevice editor. when entering entries in Table then it gives an error of "Object reference is not set to an instance of object "
We do not have Elster meter in our office at this moment.
We made new release from GXDeviceEditor.
Update GXDeviceEditor and select "Start Logging" from View menu.
Import data from your meter. Select "View Log..." from View menu.
Send log file to me. We will check this.

Sorry, Too many posts today. :-)
Because we do not have Bluestar meter is our office do following:
1. install GXDLMSDirector.
2. Select Manufacturers from tools menu.
3. Add new manufacturer.
Name: Bluestar Electrical Meter Research Inst., Nanjing, China
Manufacturer ID: BSM
Start protocol: Try DLMS. If not work (Meter do not return anything, change to IEC).
I do not know if they are using Logical name. Meter returns error if logical name is wrong.
I do not know if they are using IEC -47. Check it if meter is not answer anything.
Create new device and press connect.
If connection succeeded select Refresh from File menu. Now application will find all data, register, etc objects from the meter.
When you have succeeded to make this let me know and I'll tell how to use GuruxAMI.
I'll really appriciate if you can send BSM.obx file to me if you succeed to connect. We will release it so after that it is easier to start communicate with Bluestar meters.
I followed your instruction step by step for DLMS and IEC protocols but it is not working.
it gives an error like
"Failed to receive Reply from the device in given time"
then I increase time count from 5 to 20, still that error is there.
we have got AMI Project and my boss thinking to use the GuruxAMI to read meter data from different DLMS Meters of Indian standard.
Please help us for evaluating the Gurux software's.
