Hi Mikko,

In Push setup, Can we set the destination address as a domain name, and if yes then in which service it is supported?

Hi,

Hi,

DLMS standard doesn't define the structure of the destination address. If your meter can convert the domain name to the IP address you can use the domain name. If you want to use this feature you need also set the primary DNS address for the IPv4 setup object.

Hi Mikko,

Hi Mikko,

can you elaborate more, in some meters IPv4 is automatically detected. you mean we have to setup primary DNS address manually then only we will be able to get the push on configured host name?

Tabi

Hi,

Hi,

Your meters must know the server IP address. It doesn't matter if your meters are using dynamic IP addresses, but the Push listener server must have a static IP address.

Usually, you give server IP address something like this:
192.168.4.1:4059

This is not defined on the DLMS standard, so different meters might use different ways.

BR,
Mikko
