DLMSDirector

Hi Guru,

1) Is it possible for Gurux Director to read from Gurux Android server? as per my understanding, Arduino server can act as meter simulator.

Gurux director seem keep getting timeout, even with correct COM port and 9600 baud rate. I suspect Arduino server didn't reply, it may due to wrong parameters value.

2) Do you mind to share the new Devicde Properties parameters value? Or anything I miss out? Such as:

Manufacturer : Gurux
Client address : 16
Logical address : 0
Physical address : 1
Media : Serial

Thank you.

Hi David,

Hi David,

Yes it is and you should be able to connect with default settings. Is your start protocol DLMS? Change it if it's IEC. Are you running this on tablet or Phone? What Android version you are using?

Mikko

Hi Mikko,

Hi Mikko,

Thank for your prompt reply.

Sorry for typo, I means Arduino server. Actually I am using Arduino Mega Board to act as an meter simulator, and the Arduino server code is from:
https://github.com/Gurux/GuruxDLMS.c/tree/master/Arduino_IDE/server

I am having problem to connect both Gurux Director and Arduino Server. Keep getting "Failed to receive reply from the device in given time"

please help, thanks.

BR,
David

Hi,

Hi,

We have improved Android example and release a new version at the beginning of next week.
Can you wait couple of days and try with the new version?

Hi,

Hi,

New version is released as open-source. New help is released on Monday. New version from Arduino server is don't use malloc. There are several reasons for this.

Get the latest example. There are several COSEM object examples created and more to come.

Mikko

Hi Mikko,

Hi Mikko,

I just try the new code from gitlab, it seem the Arduino server did reply some bytes, but it still show "Failed to receive reply from the device in given time" after awhile.

Please verify is the following Gurux Director new device parameters is correct.

Thank you very much.

Reagrds,
David

Hi,

Hi,

What bytes it reply? Note that there are now 2 serial ports in use.
SerialPort is used for communicating and SerialPort2 is used to send trace.
Traces are plain text. Check what data Arduino is sending.

BR,
Mikko
