General discussion

Hello,

We are using the Atmel code from the Gurux C stack and attempting to implement client-side solution for reading from a meter using Atmega2560 (Arduino Mega 2560).
However, the code is not getting compile. (Build errors).

It gives compile time errors saying that the following header files are missing:
same70q20.h: No such file or directory
sam.h: No such file or directory

It is also giving the following makefile errors:
recipe for target 'Device_Startup/startup_same70q20.o' failed
recipe for target 'atmel_start.o' failed
recipe for target 'dlms/communication.o' failed

Is this code meant for a different controller like ATSAME70Q20? Could you kindly help us with this issue?
Thank you very much.

P. S. I am attaching an image of the errors

Hi,

Hi,

Your compiler settings are different in some way. I believe that the fastest way to solve this is if you create a new project for Atmega 2560 and then copy DLMS files to this project. We can check this in next week.

Mikko

Hello Mikko,

Hello Mikko,

Thank you so much for your reply, especially during the holiday season!
I'm trying this solution out. I'll post about my progress in the coming week.

Hello Mikko,

Hello Mikko,

I tried the above approach but to no avail. I keep getting some versions of the same error. We have now shifted approach and are attempting to implement the C code. Our plan is to use a Renesas MCU for communicating with the meter. We are hoping to modify the GuruxDLMSClient C code for the Renesas MCU. I am now having linker errors while 'making' the C code. However, as per forum rules I have created a new topic for this issue. Here's the link to the same.

Thank you so much for all your help.
