I am trying to Connect to an EMH LZQJ-XC.
The meter is via an USB Optical-Probe connected to the PC.
When I want to connect, it fails with an TimeOut:
13:59:06 Initializing serial connection.
13:59:07 Send SNRM request.

bei GXDLMSDirector.GXDLMSDevice.InitializeConnection()
bei GXDLMSDirector.MainForm.Connect(Object sender, GXAsyncWork work, Object[] parameters)
Also, if I try to Connect with an Different Manufacturer. The Meter sent this Respone:
10:48:44 Initializing serial connection.
10:48:45 IEC Sending:/?!<CR><LF>
10:48:47 HDLC received: /EMH4\@01LZQJL0014E<CR><LF>
System.Exception: Manufacturer type does not match. Manufacturer is EMH and it should be ELE.
bei GXDLMSDirector.GXDLMSDevice.InitializeConnection()
bei GXDLMSDirector.MainForm.Connect(Object sender, GXAsyncWork work, Object[] parameters)
That menas it couldnt be an issue wth the Cable or the Meter.
I tried that setting too of course with but with no success.
Logic Name Reference: false
Interface: HDLC
Client Address: 10
Physical Server: 1
Logical Server: 0
I also tried it with the SerialNumber adressing, but no success.
Logic Name Reference: false
Interface: HDLC
Client Address: 10
Serial Number: 4626090
Logical Server: 0
I always get an faliled SNRM request and an Timeout.
I read that DLMS is optional and the meter doesn't have the DLMS-Logo on it.
I already wrote the guys from EMH if they can assure me if the meter does have the option,
or that our electrician bought an wrong meter :/.
Anyways if you got any other Idea thanks in advance
We have read EMH LZQJ-XC, but we are using the serial port connection. Meter is replying for IEC message, so your serial port settings and cable should be OK.
Try with default settings, but change Start Protocol to IEC.
There are a lot of differences in how meters have implemented IEC 62056-21.
Getting readout is quite simple if mode A is supported. Just send /?!\r\n and meter replies the readout in ASCII format. I believe that easiest way is if you ask from the meter manufacturer.
Hi,
Hi,
Change start protocol from DLMS to IEC if you are using an optical probe.
