New events are not written to the log

Forums
Gurux.DLMS.AMI

Hello.
I use the event log 0.1.99.98.4.255.
I create a device in ami, read the event log, the number of events is 51 (attribute with index 7 in table GxTask). An event occurs in the counter. I read the log data, in attribute 7 the number is 52 (table GxTask), the number of log entries in the table is 51 (table GxValue).
Please tell me what could be the reason.
GuruxDirector reads logs correctly.

Reader Wait Time and Retry Count is 3 Minutes Fixed Value

Forums
Gurux.DLMS.AMI

The Reader is waiting more exactly about 180 Seconds (3 x 60) for the existing task to finish before starting new task.

So, the wait time and resend count settings of the device template is not used !

Also, number of threads seems not effective, I have about 176 devices on different 32 media interfaces. So I expect if I set threads to 10 for example to have reading time 10% of the reading time if threads is set to only 1, but actually I don't have such performance enhancement.

Scheduler is working but without any read operations

Forums
Gurux.DLMS.AMI

I assigned attributes of all devices to a scheduler and everything was OK. Values are read successfully and saved to DB without any problem.

But after days of correct work, although scheduler is working as per the log but without reader performing any reads !

I have this at the log:
warn: Gurux.DLMS.AMI.Scheduler.GXSchedulerService[0]
Timed Background Service is working.

But no reading is performed and no values are saved to DB. Also the "Errors" table is not containing any error records.

Error while Assigning Multiple Devices to a Reader

Forums
Gurux.DLMS.AMI

First, is is required to add devices to a reader ?
Secondly, I assigned first device to the only available reader, but when I try to add another device I receive the error message "The device is already added to the selected reader" although it is different device.

Thanks

The schedule does not work

Forums
Gurux.DLMS.AMI

Hello.
There are 2 problems.
1. In the AMI after 12.10 the schedule stopped working: when the attribute is set to read on a schedule, the task does not start (the time when the schedule starts is not changed).
2. AMI (version 6.10) running on Windows, the schedule works in it, while if the same ami is run under Linux, the schedule does not work (the time when the schedule starts is not changed).

Changeable settings when creating devices from device templates

Forums
Gurux.DLMS.AMI

Hi,

Some settings/parameters are fixed (Same) for all devices, only certain settings will change for each device.

But if I try to change anything except for the device name and physical address, I have the message "No Device Template Available", in the new version the device settings revert back to the template settings.

So, I have to create one device template for each group of devices which differ only in name and physical address. In my case this will be a lot of templates.

Is this logical, and if it is how can I bypass it?

Syntax for Adding Multiple Readers

Forums
Gurux.DLMS.AMI

Can you help how can I modify the appsettings.json file to handle the current situation:

Media: Serial over Ethernet
Each group of meters is connected to one Serial (RS485) Port that is mapped to one IP Address & Port.

Required one DLSM.AMI "Reader" for each IP/Port, with only 1 thread so that one meter is read at a time for each IP/Port.

I tried the following, but not working:
