GxDlmsDirector is not showing Register and ProfileGeneric sections

I am connecting to a Kamstrup OMNIPOWER CT meter. Director connects successfully but when downloading the object list, there are no Register or ProfileGeneric values available to read.

If I use the Kamstrup MeterTool application, I can connect and view the Analysis logs.

I am not using a username or password on either application.

I am assuming that this is a configuration or user policy issue. Can someone point me in the right direction to solve this problem.

Hi,

I believe that you have connected without authentication. Only part of the objects are shown. You need to change the authentication level to Low and set the correct password.

After that, you can see more COSEM objects.

Thanks Mikko,

It was indeed an authentication issue. I needed to move to Low authentication level to access the ProfileGeneric data.

For reference for others, the default authentication for Kamstrup meters is:

Authentication: Low
Password: 12345
Client Address: 18 (0x12)
Server Address: 16 (0x10)

Hi,

The Kamstrup server address depends on the user communication channel. E.g. RS-485 uses a different value than the optical probe. List of some settings are available here:

You can see possible example values when you create a new meter and press "Initial settings..." button.
