DLMSDirector

hi folks,

I bought on ebay an ISKRA MT372 just to have a meter to test real communication with GuruxDirector.
The thing is that when the reader answers the AARE I get a permanent reject :

It seems that I need an authentication method to connect to the meter even when I use client address 0x10. Do you know how can I get over this? Is it possible somehow to find out encryption level and key? is it posible to set the meter to factory settings?

Thanks a lot in advance

Hi,

Hi,

You can't connect without authentication. Change Authentication level to Low and use password 12345678.

Hi Mikko,

Hi Mikko,

Thanks a lot it worked perfectly!! Now I have communication with the meter...
Is this a ISKRA feature or all the meters work in the same way? I thougth you could connect to any meter using the default address 16 (0x10) for the client meaning no security...
It is more than likely that in a near feautre I would have to read other meters from different brnads and if authentication is required It would be very useful to me to have an idea of the different scenarios I could find...

Again thanks a lot for your support!

Hi,

Hi,

It depends on how the meter is configured. :( You can usually connect without authentication, but sometimes the metering company wants that you can't connect without authentication.

Meters are very different and the parameters are depending on the meter.

BR,
Mikko
