I want to read out the Landis + Gyr E650 meter with Gurux GXDLMSDirector. I connected the meter with a RS485-USB converter to my PC. As communication protocol I want to use DLMS.
Can u tell me wich device settings I need to be able to make a connection. I already tried the default settings, but those are not working. I can see that the meter is receiving commando's, but the meter won't reply. I think because I use the wrong device settings.
I already know that I need to following COM-port settings, when I use DLMS:
Baudrate: 9600
Parity: None
StopBits: 1
ByteSize: 8
SN of the meter is: 50 234 256
ZMD410CT44.2407 S3 B31
Did you manage to connect to the counter? I have the same counter, I use the tcp/ip rs converter for communication RS232 RS485 na Ethernet USR TCP232-410s. My energy provider started communication over rs485, I got the settings as the modem is set up. I cannot connect to the meter in any way. The meter has seals on it and I only have a breakdown of the communication from the RS485 leads.
Hi,
Hi,
If you are using RS-485 change start protocol from IEC to DLMS. There are two things that you need to do.
1. Check your cables.
2. Try with different baud rates.
The reason is quite often #1.

Hi Mikko,
Hi Mikko,
Unfortunately both are not the solution.
I checked the cable and I can see that the meter gets commands, because an orange LED on the meter is blinking when I send out a read command.
I also tried different baudrates, but that is not working either.
Can u give me the right device settings for the Landis + Gyr E650 meter, I think am using the wrong settings. Or do you know other things I try?
I hope you can help me!
Best regards,
Yorick N
Hi,
Hi,
Select Landis+Gyr as the meter manufacturer. Then you need to set correct serial port settings and the meter should answer.

Mikko
