Hi,
I downloaded DLMSDirector and configured to connect with a Landis+Gyr meter.
On my side I have pc (windows 10) with usb/rs232 converter correctly working, Urmet GSM modem correctly working but trying to connect to the remote meter (static IP with SIM Card) the program reply
"Failed to receive answer from modem. Check serial port" or "Connection failed: no carrier (when telephone call was being establised). +CEER: 8,31,0".
what am I doing wrong?
Can you please guide me tosetting properly?

If you have static IP you don't need the modem. You can connect directly using TCP/IP connection.
Your modem is not answered for AT command for some reason. Usually serial port settings are wrong.

thanks for your reply but I was wrong to explain. I need to connect to a meter with a gsm modem.
My modem, queried with Putty, answers OK to the various commands (at; atd<phonenenumber>; etc) but DLMSDirector answers after a few seconds always with the same line.
I also tried to query several counters (Iskra, Landys, Italian Standard) but without success.
What's wrong?

Check baud-rate and other serial port settings first.
If it doesn't help, check "Verbose mode". You can get more info on what is sent and received from between the GXDLMSDirector and the modem.
