General discussion

Hello,

We have DLMS meters, we are planing to read data of meters by one Node. Node contains one microcontroller and lora transmitter, which collect data from meter and then it will send the data to Web server via Lora transmitter and Lora Gateway.
system block diagram is here

We should decode meter data at Web server. For to perform this task,

which library we need for microcontroller and for Web server.

Thank you

Hi,

Hi,

For the microcontroller, you need the ANSI C library.
We have done this for Wirepas Mesh network:
http://www.gurux.fi/DataCollector

If you have more memory, you can also use ANSI C++. It's using a lot more memory,
but the development time is faster.

For Web server, you can use what programming language you want to.

Let me clear as node (microcontroller) is not able to decode meter data(voltage, current watt etc..) right?

is it possible?

Hi,

Hi,

Microcontroller can make a connection to the meter. Then read wanted values and send collected data as push message to the server.

Microcontroller can decode the data. You can build business logic as you want to.
Example only changed values are sent, etc.

Hi,

Hi,

If your meters are using DLMS you can communicate with the meters using ANSI C stack.
You need to update the password and other meter depending settings to the node.

Mikko
