DLMSDirector

Hi Mikko,

Kindly understand my scenario-
DMLSDirector app is connected to meter and I am able to read clock object.
If I kill the DMLSDirector app from the task manager, then I wait around 2 minutes,
and then after I try to reconnect the same meter again. But is not connect. I have tried many times but
it is unable to connect. The trace logs are given blow-
---------------------------------------------------
14:48:53 Initializing Network connection.
System.Net.Sockets.SocketException (0x80004005): A connection attempt failed because the connected party did not properly respond after a period of time, or established connection failed because connected host has failed to respond
at GXDLMSDirector.GXDLMSDevice.InitializeConnection()
at GXDLMSDirector.MainForm.Connect(Object sender, GXAsyncWork work, Object[] parameters)
---------------------------------------------------

Kindly suggest me?

Thanks & Regards,
Pradson

Hi,

Hi,

Everything is working as it should be. If connection is not closed graceful there is inactivity wait time that you must wait before next connection success. You can read inactivity timeout from the IEC HDLC setup object.

Hi Mikko,

Hi Mikko,

Yes, I had read the inactivity timeout from the IEC HDLC setup object and wait (70 seconds as given in the attached screen-shot) for the same but unable to connect the meter. For this case (Whenever kill from task manager), I am to restarting the meter and then able to connect the meter.

I am sharing the logs and screen-shot of IEC HDLC setup object parameters.

Kindly suggest for this case what should I do.

Hi,

Hi,

After you crash the GXDLMSDirector you need to wait at least 70 seconds before the new connection. After that, you must make a connection to the meter as before. This is in DLMS tests. You need to ask meter manufacturer to fix this if your meter don't pass this. There is nothing that you can do for this. This is a meter issue.

BR,

Mikko
