Get Meter Brand, Type or Firmware Version, or any Unqiue ID without password

Hello,

To support multiple brand electricity meters, I want to make auto detect mechanism, means fire an OBIS code, and get Unique Meter Brand or ID or Model Number or Firmware version, and then get data from meter with meter's password(from a lookup table).

But In client 16 (Without Password Authentication) I didn't get any of above data.

So, Is there any method, I can use to detect Meter Model, and then communicate with Meter Password automatically.

Hi,

That depends on the meter manufacturer and model. Some meters show a meter model if you connect without authentication. Some meters don't offer a lot when you connect without authentication.

There is no method to get the meter model. All the information that the meter offers is in the association view.
