Hi guys! Thank you for your hard work. Having a task to read out data from Itron SL7000 meter that has DLMS/COSEM communication protocol. Our SCADA operates with Modbus RTU/TCP or OPC DA protocols only. Could you please advise or give an example of converting DLMS to Modbus RTU (or TCP)? Thanks a lot

Hi,

You need to build an application that maps the Modbus registers to DLMS object attributes. DLMS is very different than Modbus. You need to establish the connection for the meter before you can read anything. You also need to save the password for your application.

I strongly propose that you try to read your meter with GXDLMSDirector first. It will help you get an idea from DLMS meters and COSEM objects.
