Hello,

I'm trying to read several Holley meters.

I have succeeded in reading a single meter using serial communication, but when I connect all meters in daisy chain loop then try to read them I get a getobject failed error.

I'm kind of new to this world, Any help in this?

Hi,

Hi,

There is a unique meter address for each meter. Meter manufacturers are handling this differently, but it the most common way. Try to connect to the meter and read IDC HDLC Setup object.

Then check the Device address property and use it as a Server (meter) address.
You can get more information from here:

Thank you for your reply.

Thank you for your reply.

I have successfully read the meter address using the IEC HDLC Setup and it is 9091.
Now I tried to fill it into the physical address blank and it gave me an invalid physical address error.

What I can do to fix this?

Best Regards,

Hi,

Hi,

The Physical address is the physical meter address and you must always set it.
Give value 0x2383 (9091) to the physical address field and try to connect.
You can also try to change 0x2383 in IEC HDLC Setup for number 4 and try to connect with physical address 4.

Mikko
