Hi Mikko,

We want to set up a test environment for Five lakhs meters using a simulator.
Is it possible to create that number of connections using the Gurux simulator?

Can you please provide your suggestion?

Hi,

Yes, it is. Start simulator with -N 5. It will create 5 meters.

It is about to 5Lk meters.
Can we open that number of ports in the simulator?

Hi,

You can't create 500000 meters with one PC, there are not enough TCP/IP ports. You need to decentralize this into several PCs. I don't know what kind of functionality you want to test, so I can't tell how many thousands of meters you can simulate with one PC.

Ok, Understood.
I am able to read the Clock object successfully using the simulator.
Can you provide an Instant data profile XML block so I can include it in meter-template.xml

Hi,

You can read the instant data profile from your existing meter. I don't have IS meter nearby.

HI Mikko,

I have created a template for all obiscode supported from IS meter.
Template is created using utility setting association and AuthenticationEncryption.

Now while reading instant data profile and Block Load Profile from template, It gives empty buffer and capture object attribute value, however it's value is available in template.
