General discussion

Hello, I am using Gurux.DLMS.cpp Client to read the data from a ZIV smart meter. However, I am able to read only a few objects from the meter. In addition I am not able to read even the clock, I have put the client address and the server address but it only can read a few objects.
Does anyone knows if anything else is required to read from the meter?

Thank you very much.

ZIV 5CTM

Hi,

Sometimes the amount of objects is depending on the authentication level. Increase authentication level.
Download GXDLMSDirector and try to read values with that first.

Hi, Mikko. Thank you for your reply.
I tried with director at it gives the same objects as the gurux.dlms.cpp
I tried to change the authentication level but It gives the same response and the same objects. Again I am not able even to read the clock.
Do you have any clue?
Thank you very much.

Hi,

If you change authentication level you need to select "Refresh" from "File" menu to update association view.

No change

Hi Mikko, I tried it but still the meter do not give us the clock.
The problem is that it only gives a number of objects independently of the password. In addition we located that the server address in which the meter answer us is 0x90 server address and 0x10 client address. Do you have any idea of what is happening?
Thank you very much.

Hi,

Values are shown what meter returns. You can try to change client address from 0x10 to 0x1.
Then you must give the password.

Hi, Mikko in the end was a problem of configuration as you suggested. So I have changed the client and everything is working now.
Thank you very much for your help.
