Has event notification not been implemented for DLMS/COSEM? If not is there any other way to push events like Meter Power Failure, SAX SWELL etc to the client?

We have 2 meters connected through daisy chaining on RS485.

When we are using GXDLMSDirector with Physical Server Address 1, Both meters are working fine independently and we are able to fetch some data.

Our meter company has given the physical address as 255, 256 for 2 meters. When we entered 255 as physical address, GXDLMSDirector is not able to connect the meter.

Please suggest, how can we can connect meter through GXDLMS client by giving the physical address.

I want to use the DLMS server example 2 to act as a meter emulator and send meter reads or events after some scheduled time. How can I do that ?

Hi,

I am using the code from GitHub and able to connect and read dlms meter data when I run the client on Windows.

Same code when I tried to run on Linux, the connection is successful, but when reading data block it's giving error- The Authentication Name not supported. I am using Low Authentication with password and passing the details as argument to Java client class.

Please advise.

I have a question regarding the Invoke_ID and Priority usage in latest Gurux version.

In the GXDLMS.java / getLNPdu(), the following code suggests that a zero (InvokeId+Priority) must be initialized:

if (p.getInvokeId() != 0) {
reply.setUInt8((byte) p.getInvokeId());
} else {
reply.setUInt8(getInvokeIDPriority(p.getSettings()));
}

It is initialized in my case t 0xC1(Priority.HIGH+ServiceClass.CONFIRMED), which is fine.

Recently upgrading from Gurux 1.4.5 to 2.1.1, I noticed an issue concerning the setting/getting of the deviation field when creating a GXDateTime object.

This simple unit test below:

public void testGXDateTime() {
int deviationOne = 60;
GXDateTime dt = new GXDateTime(2017,02,04,12,00,0,0,deviationOne);
int deviationTwo = dt.getDeviation();
assertEquals(deviationOne, deviationTwo);

Gives:

How can we upgrade the firmware of meter using gurux. I have seen some link on gurux but even after seen that we are not able to read the Image transfer status. Do i need to change any DLMS clientAddress or serverAddress during initialization.

Hi everyone,

I managed to connect and read data from the meter using GuruxDirector. Attached is a screenshot of my configuration for one of the meters (SerialNumber and IP are fake).

I am in the process of creating DLMS meter reader application. I successfully connected to the metter but then when I try to read all object and save them to a file I get permission errors "Access Error : Device reports Read-Write denied.".

The code I use to read data is below:

I'm writing a server for poll counters. The survey was successful, but time synchronization not. Trying to set the time on counter (0.0.1.0.0.255). When executing synchronization there is a gurux.dlms.GXDLMSException: Access Error: Device reports Read-Write denied.
