We have connected the meter to PC over rj45 cable with rs232 converter. What would be the next steps that we should do in the GuruxDLMS Director?

Hi ,
We are working with Indian Standard Bluetooth Smart Meter , when we try to read the data from meter via bluetooth using gurux.dlms library (python) , we get error , but , while using the Optical Cable the data was able to be read for the same library .

Kindly help us to resolve this issue.

I got latest update DLMS.cpp (Mon, 03/10/2025 - 09:21) and get errors on SetRequest with octet string.

Old version packet (obis: 0.0.96.1.254.255, value: EF4A):

New version packet:
7ea01f0201619817aee6e600c101c1000100006001feff0200000902ef4a84747e - Fail
No octet string value EF4A.

I'm stuck with a very simple question, please help. Let's suppose I have a datetime saved in attribute 2.

last_config_date = objects.GXDLMSData('0.0.96.2.1.255')
value = reader.read( last_config_date, 2 )

Value is bytearray(b'\x07\xe9\x03\x05\x03\x10\n\x1d\x00\x80\x00\x00')
value.hex() is '07e9030503100a1d00800000'

What shoud I do do convert it to datetime view like '3.5.2025 16:10:29' as displayed in Director value field?

Hello, I am new to DLMS and trying to connect to a meter using the Gurux DLMS library via GPRS. Here is the process I am following according to meter document:

1. The meter will initiate a TCP connection to our server's TCP port.
2. Once connected via TCP, we will send an AARQ (Association Request).
3. The meter will respond with an AARE (Association Response).
4. After a successful connection, we will read meter data and control the valve (open/close).

Hi,

I am having issues reading data from a smart meter that pushes messages over UDP. The meter has a dynamic IP address, so I cannot initiate a direct connection to it. Instead, I am receiving the data in the OnReceived event.

However, when I try to send a request back to the meter, the media object is already in use, and the send operation fails.
