Good day
I'm connecting to a L&G E650 via Serial-USB-Optical. Able to read back all info once, after that I can't reconnect. Getting Error "Invalid Response", no settings changed. Sometimes after rebooting Meter, I can connect again, but then also only once.

Hi,
Your serial port is sending some extra bytes. What optical head and serial port convertor your are using (manufacturer and model).
In DLMS this is not a problem, but before we are moving to DLMS this is causing problem.
We try to think something for this.

I don't have any experience with Terminal, but hope this helps.

If you don't send command meter goes to readout mode and it sends lots of data.
We are making changes to this. There is new version available on next week.

No, I think that I have to estabilish the connection by a dial up modem calling the number of SIM (machine to machine).
Actally, if I call this number by my cellphone, I can ear the old sound of a 56k modem.

Hi,
Then you are using Terminal connection not GPRS. You can use GXDLMSDirector to read your meter.
Select terminal. Give correct phone number and you can make connection to your meter.

Do I need a dial up modem on COM1 and so a telephone analogic line?
I have only a VOIP ...
What about if I purchase an internet key such as huawey E172?

Hi Angelo,
You need modem for your PC if you want to use GSM connection. Get M2M SIM card and GSM dongle like Huawey E172. That should work. You can see GSM modem as a serial port.
Note! You can read only one meter at the time when using GSM connection.

Are you using baudrate 9600 8None1?
Your dongle is returning some extra bytes. We are improving this. This is not a problem with DLMS,
but when we are moving from IEC to DLMS this is causing an error.
We are releasing new version tomorrow.

Hi,
If you have read scaler from the meter (attribute index 3) we are using that and multiply read value with it. Check this value from the meter.
