Hi,
I am trying to read L&T DLMS Meter EM101+. I am using RJ11 to DB9 cable to get connection between Meter and PC and am sending Dlms snrm frame but not getting any response from meter. But am getting responses from other meters.

So, I have doubt in cable connection, meter I'd, baud rate, parity, stop bit etc.,

Guide me to collect data from meter.

Hi,

Can you read the meter with optical head? Try with 4800 and 9600 8None1. Are you using The same cable with other meters? Are they same brand?

Hi sir,

I am using EM101+ meter from L & T .First i am new to this meter and i don't know how to use this meter ,how to communicate with this meter, which tool is supported to communicate with this meter. I am using RJ11 to DB9 cable to get connection between Meter and PC and I got OBIS codes from L & T team. I tried In hercules setup goto serial and first i setup the baudrate as 9600,parity is even,COM port and press start button, it is showing COM port is opened then i am sending serial no OBIS code frame but not getting any response from meter. But am getting responses from other meters.

I am using GXDLMS Director but in meter setting L & T is not their. I don't know this meter is which category.
So, I have doubt in cable connection, meter I'd, baud rate, parity, stop bit etc.,

Guide me to collect data from meter.

If you have any data how to communicate with meters using hercules or GXDLMS Director,GURUX CTT please share .

Hi,

EM101+ is not support DLMS. It's using IEC1107. You can't read it with DLMS.

But L&T CC saying that the meter is having DLMS and the firmware version mentioned on the top of Meter box.

Hai Sir,
I am in search of reading L&T energy meter real time data through its RS232 port, the RS 232 signal is on RJ11 4 pin female connector, please help me to read the same and display the parameters like voltage, current, kwh etc in PC. The meter is L&T's EM101+ which is DLMS compliant. The pics of communication port and meter is attaching herewith.

Please, if you have a new question start a new topic. You can use GXDLMSDirector to read your meter.

So is this L & T Single phase Energy Meter model EM101+ really DLMS compatible??
I am about to purchase one and I need DLMS type. And I am buying this from India

Hi,

Meters that I have seen as supporting IS 15959 (DLMS), but it's always possible that there are older models that don't support IS 15959. Make sure that IS 15959 is supported before you buy it.

Hi,

I'm sorry. I wrote the wrong standard number. If it's 15959 then you can establish the connection with DLMS.

ok, got it. I contacted L & T Technical team here in Kerala-India. They said meter EM101+ Supports DLMS and standard is IS-15959.
On the meter its printed IS-15959 cat C3
So I believe this meter(see img below) will work.

Hi,

You can read the meter if it supports IS-15959. You can see the default settings if you select Indian standard as the meter manufacturer in GXDLMSDirector.
