Hi Mikko,

I am using Gurux.DLMS.cpp lib for my project. Currently I am using TCP based connection. Can Gurux.DLMS.cpp lib supports TCP/IPv6 connection? If not, then what should I do to implement IPv6 type connection in my project?

Kindly suggest me asap.

Hi Pradson,

CGXDLMSIp6Setup is implemented and tests are started in the following weeks. New version is released in August.

The client example doesn't support IP v4. This is updated also in the next release in August.
If you want, you can add support by your self in int CGXCommunication::Connect -function.

I had asked to you earlier about CGXDLMSIp6Setup implementation in Gurux.DLMS.cpp lib. You had said that CGXDLMSIp6Setup implementation will be release in August 2020.

Has CGXDLMSIp6Setup implemented in Gurux.DLMS.cpp lib? If yes, then how could I use this suggest me?

It's done, but not released as open source. I created an issued from this and a new Open source version is released today.

I have a question regarding CGXDLMSIp6Setup object testing. Actually, I have not any IPV6 compatible hardware or software device. So I am unable to test CGXDLMSIp6Setup object at my end.

Kindly suggest me any software(Simulator) or any alternate way so that I could test CGXDLMSIp6Setup object at my end.

I am using Gurux.DLMS.cpp and I have tested with IPv4 setup. I just wanted to know from your end regarding CGXDLMSIp6Setup. Is any your customer which using stack of CGXDLMSIp6Setup for smart metering in India?

Hi Pradson,

In my mind, all are using IPv4 at the moment, but it is changing. There are more meters that are using IPv6.

As you said there is no any customer which using CGXDLMSIp6Setup in India. How many customers which using stack of CGXDLMSIp6Setup for smart metering all over world? The purpose of knowing this information just for my knowledge.

Hi,

There are several meter models that are supporting IPv6. I can't say any exact numbers. IPv6 is coming more important when LPWAN and Wi-Sun Over the Air communication channels are used.
