Gurux DLMS for Android

Hello!

I'm trying to use your library to read meters. I want to use a concrete OBIS code and receive the object to use it in my app.

I am reading the code in Git and I think that it works with a short list of preset OBIS codes. I wanna send to the meter any OBIS code to use the information that it have. How can I do it?

Thanks!

Hi,

Hi,

I believe that the best way to start is if you download the GXDLMSDirector and play with that.

Meter will return a list of OBIS codes (association view) and describe what kind of registers and objects it can offer. You can't add new OBIS codes for the meter.

Hi,

Hi,

You can't connect Android app with GXDLMSDirector. They are both client applications. You can start server example in your PC and connect to it using Android or GXDLMSDirector.

You can download server app from here:
https://github.com/Gurux/Gurux.DLMS.Net/tree/master/Gurux.DLMS.Server.E…

Set TCP/IP port number to 4061 and your PC IP address to host address and make a connection.

Hello!

Hello!

I'm trying to config the GXDLMSDirector with the IP and port that you said: Port: 4061 and for the IP I'd used localhost and the IP that I get when I look at the "ipconfig" of my pc. And It not works.

Anyway, the thing that I wanna do is to use a OBIS code concrete to my meter to receive the information that I want or to make that the meter do something that I want. I saw that some OBIS codes are executing (I attacth a capture of my tablet with the GuruX app running). If I want to receive the "Active energy import (+A)", for example, and I wanna have that information on that side of the ListView, I need to use the OBIS code 1-0:1.8.x.255. What I have to do to use that code?

I don't know if I am understanding the use of OBIS codes or how the app is using it. Or even if it is possible to do it.

Thanks to ask me.
Sergio

Hello Sergio,

Hello Sergio,

I'm sorry, but I haven't noticed your question before.

OBIS code (Logical name) is used to identify the object. It can be a register, clock, etc. Idea is that all meter manufactures are using the same OBIS codes.

BR,
Mikko
