Hi, I have a quick question regarding DLMS standard itself.
I was reading (with java) an Itron meter and I found out, that association gave me multiple objects with same LN name.
I made a quick check for removing any duplicities, but then I discovered, that some of those objects have different Object type. (You can see it below)
I always assumed, that meter can only contain only one object with same LN name. Is it true, or DLMS allows this or only when objects have different object type?
I know, that when you read an object, APDU specifies what object type this LN name is. But I guess you can't specify what you want to read if objects have same LN name and same type.
Thanks for your answer. I was unable to find it in Coloured books.
This is correct.
OBIS codes are usually different, but sometimes OBIS codes might be the same, and object type is different. Newer meters are usually using different OBIS codes and the are no duplicates.
