hi,
i am using intellij and connected my meter through serial port, when i run the .jar file in the target folder, i am getting error as getParameter method is not there, so i wanted to debug the code, how do i hardcode the function getParameter: it has 2 parameters-(args,settings), how do i give -S COM6 there?, in .jar normally we give filename.jar -S COM6

Hi,

You should give parameters as normal. Something like:
java -jar gurux.dlms.server.example.java-0.0.1-SNAPSHOT.jar -S COM6

gurux.dlms.server.example can directly communicate to meter with only this -S COM6 port parameter

Hi,

If you want to read your meter you need to use the client.example. It will make a connection to the meter and reads all the objects from it. The server is if you want to implement own meter or proxy.
