Hi, Ty to read the meter…

Hi,

Ty to read the meter with public access first. You need only set the connection settings. (TCP/IP address or serial port).

You need to establish a ciphered connection and you need the block cipher and authentication keys for that.

Set correct keys and change client address to 48 and authentication to High.

It might be easier to read the meter first with GXDLMSDirector. It will give you a better understanding of the DLMS meters and you can see the correct communication settings.

Mikko

Hi Aparna, The US password…

Hi Aparna,

The US password is different than MR. Make sure that you are using the correct password. You also need to change the client's address.

Hello Mikko I can…

Hello Mikko

I can successfully execute PC and MR associations of client example program without any errors. But when i try to establish connectivity in US mode, i am getting either the 'server to client does not match' error or an authentication failure error. Please let me know if there are any additional setttings or changes that needs to be done before executing in US type. I have revalidated the passwords and keys and they are as expected. I am pasting the trace below from cmd.

D:\Gurux.DLMS.Python-master\Gurux.DLMS.Client.Example.python>python main.py -S COM11:9600:8None1 -c 48 -a High -P VVVVVVVVVVVVVVVV -C AuthenticationEncryption -T 5641523030303031 -A 39393939393939393939393939393939 -B 39393939393939393939393939393939 -D CA0CC754F8F7B505DCF886E51214C6F0 -d India -w 1 -f 128 -t Verbose

Hi, You can establish the…

Hi,
You can establish the connection for the meter, but the meter can't handle step 2 where the client challenge is sent.

You need to ask the meter manufacturer if the meter is expecting that the specific challenge is used.

If a password is invalid the meters usually return an error, but this meter doesn't return it.

Mikko

Hi,

Can you read the meter with the manufacturer's application?
If you can get the communication hex trace I can get you the correct settings.

I believe that one of the settings is different than the meter expects.

BR,
Mikko
