about gateway I have some problem.
how to set the gateway clientID and meter id when both of them use hdlc
if client use rs485 to gateway and gateway use rs485 to meter
client --HDLC-- gateway--HDLC--meter
1. client should send snrm to gateway,
2. gateway respone ua
3. client send gateWay protocol E6 xx AARQ
4, the gateway send snrm to meter or hdlc with aarq?
otherwise , gateway---meter clientId should be what?

Hi,
HDLC is used to send frames and it has own server and client address. You can give network ID and physical device address for the gateway.
Usually gateways are transparent and they just forware received data.
