DLMSDirector

Hi,
We use DLMSDirector to read the object list of our meter. The first few frames go well but when the meter replies the following frame DLMSDirector pops up a window saying 'Invalid count'.
7E A0 94 61 03 74 CA F9 E6 E7 00 CC 86 30 00 00 00 0A 08 2F 32 6A F0 08 F2 EA 08 06 71 F3 58 D4 45 D2 DB 07 5E BF 97 47 EA 49 F0 24 C1 4C EA 3A 76 A8 30 FD 9A B9 4C 9D F5 0C 45 4A 05 1B A1 2A BE 92 5E 9F F5 65 4A 75 C3 A4 91 5E 08 D1 9C C0 01 39 24 25 70 E6 41 00 17 95 4E 2E B8 1A C8 F4 ED CD 7A 90 57 AB 09 85 5B 0D 02 2F 0D F3 4D FD 5E B9 1C 54 E8 AB 57 D9 B1 E1 5E A2 E5 EF 52 BF B2 E5 0E 92 26 60 DB 7A 14 E6 B7 0A 21 40 AE F0 2B 66 09 ED E0 7E
Would you tell me what is the problem? Does 'Invalid count' mean the APDU is too long?
Thank you!

Hi,

Hi,

The PDU length is encoded wrong. It should be something like this:

CC 81 86 30 00 00 00 0A ...

I cannot change the meter firmware now. How to avoid DLMSDirector not to read object list after association established?

Hi,

Hi,

GXDLMSDirector will ask do you want to read the association view when you establish the connection.
Just answer no.

You can also add objects by hand. Select "Add object..." from "Edit" menu. Then select object type and give the logical name. Meter will return an error if values are not correct.

Mikko

Can I edit an object file

Can I edit an object file such as ob.xml or ob.txt format, and import it into GXDLMSDirector. it will be easier to add objects by this way. If yes, how to edit the file and import it into GXDLMSDirector?
Thank you for your kind help!
