Currently, I am reading invocation counter in public mode and then connect meter in HLS.
So, If we want to read RTC then the following requests will be sent to the meter.
- SNRM, AARQ, Read Invocation Counter, Disconnect
- SNRM, AARQ, High Association, Read RTC, Disconnect.
To read only RTC from meter we need to send a total of 9 requests to the meter.
So, can we optimize (Without reading invocation counter) the number of requests sent to the meter?
Or can you provide any suggestion in this scenario?
IV is changed for each reading and if it's wrong meter reply an error.
If there are no other reading systems then you can save IV and use it. It helps a little bit.
If there are other reading systems, you need to send all those messages.
Yes, there are differences between the meters. Some meters don't care from IV at all and you don't need to read it. Some meters expect that IV is equal with the expected value and some meters can handle values that are bigger than the last value.

Hi Mikko,
Hi Mikko,
In other meter of standard IS15959-2 I have seen different behaviour.
After Disconnect request, If I reconnect with older IC then it is able to connect properly.
So, Is there anything that in disconnect request IC is reset in meter ?
