DLMS/COSEM Decryption with "Indian Standard" vs. Other Manufacturer Cells

Hi Gurux Team and Community,

I'm working with GXDLMSDirector to communicate with DLMS/COSEM meters. I'm trying to understand the differences in decryption when using the "Indian Standard" manufacturer cell setting compared to other available options.

Specifically, I'd like to know:

What encryption algorithms and key lengths are typically used with the "Indian Standard" setting?
How does the key management process?
Are there any specific security suites or authentication methods that are enforced or recommended when using "Indian Standard"?
I've reviewed the available documentation, but I haven't found detailed information on this. Any insights or guidance would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance,
Andrew

Hi Andrew, Indian standard…

Hi Andrew,

Indian standard is a sub-standard from DLMS and it implements only part of DLMS standard. At the moment only GMAC encryption is supported. Meters that I know are using Security suite 0 or 1 where key length is 16 bytes.

BR,
Mikko
