LUNA LSM40 CONFIGURATION/SET UP USING THE DLSM COMMUNICATION PROTOCOL AND POSSIBLY OPTICAL PORT FOR COMMUNICATION

I need help setting up the Luna Electric LSM40 SMART METER.

I do not want to use the GSM SIM Card option for communication. I am considering the dlsm communication protocol and how to set that up and what connections devices do i need to put in place. I have a Data Center and Fibre /LAN connectivity is available.

Please I need a step by step guide to to be able to connect io the meter with pc, read the meter and program it to work. I have attached the image of LSM40 LUNA

Hi,

Download GXDLMSDirector and try to connect with that to the meter.
Different meters are sing different settings, but you should find correct settings from the meter documentation.

If you have LAN connection available select Gurux as a manufacturer and change Interface type from HDLC to WRAPPER. Then set the correct TCP/IP host name and port. You should be able to establish the connection to the meter if your TCP/IP settings are correct.

Thank you Kurumi. However, Luna is not listed as one of the Manufacturers. Would that be a problem? And I needed help with the Luna RS485 Modbus protocol for integration. Thanks

Hi,

Try to select Gurux as a manufacturer. Then change the meter settings as described in the meter documentation.
