Do you have any timeline for when V.44 compression support is added to your library? The patent for V.44 is now expired, so that should not be an issue anymore.
V.44 is coming, but I'm not quite sure when it can be released. The compress rate seems to be quite good, but it's using a lot of memory and it's quite complex. I believe that it will be released sometime in the autumn.
